Summary
Olly is a little orphan who wakes up in a new house year after year. Each time, he carries a heart full of hope—and the quiet fear of another goodbye. New faces, unfamiliar rules, and endless goodbyes leave him lonely and confused. More than anything, he longs for a place where he can finally belong.
Along the way, small acts of kindness, new friendships, and beautiful moments in nature bring him comfort. They remind him that hope can grow, even during difficult times. Olly keeps searching for a place to call home. And he finds the courage to believe that somewhere, someone may be waiting for him.
A tender story about loneliness, belonging, resilience, and hope. It also reminds children who have loving families to appreciate the home, love, and security they are fortunate to have.
Why I Wrote It
I wrote this book because I wanted to show how meaningful friendships can be, especially when life feels uncertain and lonely.
Through Olly’s journey, I hope children see how a kind friend, a shared laugh, or a small act of kindness can bring comfort and hope.
I also want children with loving families to appreciate the people who make them feel safe, loved, and at home.
